On September 15th DATTA SA proudly hosted the first ever DATTA SA VEX Robotics Competition, at Tonsley Innovation District opening up the season for 18 schools across the state.
There were over 300 students, 18 schools and nearly 30 judges from industry coming together for a full day of competition.
Thank you to our technicians Lachlan Wilson (who spent a huge Thursday with us setting up) and Zachary Elliott for making the behind the scenes lights keep running!
Thank you to the team from VEX Robotics Australia, Chris Harding with the entire warehouse and staff crew for helping out with a range of areas and last minute bump in setup! Rock stars!
To the team at Tonsley, Lily Maras, Kellie Trottman and Philipp Dautel, we appreciate the support in letting us bring the largest robotics competition to Tonsley!
To our volunteers and referees, you were amazing! Well done and we look forward to the next time!
Lastly, to our judges from industry, thank you for supporting and giving of your time to the students. You could see by their faces and post tournament reflections just how much it meant to have you reflect on the work they had achieved in the season.
