2025 DATTA SA VEX State Championships Reflections

On Monday 10th November, students from across SA came together at Adelaide University (UniSA Sports Centre, Mawson Lakes) to celebrate a year-long effort in designing, building, note-booking and strategising. 101 teams attended competitions across South Australia competing to become one of 61 teams who secured a spot to the DATTA SA VEX State Championships.

VEX Robotics is a year-long competition starting in late April with a new season game released to teams across the world each year. Teams build and program robots with the process being documented in engineering notebooks and explained to judges via team interviews. Teams then compete in games scoring points in exciting matches across the day.

We thank our volunteers, parents, students and teachers, alongside our judges from industries across SA. A special mention to staff from Adelaide University led by Kate Long who has been an incredible support over the last two State Championships and Adelaide University opening speaker Dr Tim Lau who inspired the crowd as they prepared for competition.

Congratulations to all the teams who attended, you should be extremely proud of your efforts. The winners below (and a few more teams who received double qualification invites) will now go onto the National Championships held at the Adelaide Convention Centre on December 6th and 7th. More information on the Nationals available here.
